Experience

Kel has formed lasting relationships with organisations. He has a history of being invited back as the organisation evolves through levels and phases. Some client associations have lasted more than a decade.

Best business practices: The advice, tools and methodology created by Corporate River have been integrated into organisations and have stood the test of time in competitive global environments. This allows leaders to 'punch above their weight' when competing with much larger companies globally. Corporate River's methodology enhances the benefits of existing international business benchmarking systems.

Advisory board / Awards judge: Kel serves on advisory boards. He has been a judge for national business awards and has had involvement with two Universities at the planning and entrepreneur incubator level.

Business owner training – New Zealand Government: Corporate River has won and successfully delivered Government contracts providing funded workshops and coaching to business owners from many sectors.

Advise the advisor: Kel works with senior leaders in other consulting firms who in turn give business advice to senior leaders in well-known companies and in New Zealand's Government departments.

Individual and team performance: Kel is increasingly involved in identifying the root cause of performance problems in organisations people. Intervention is provided through coaching or internal workshops.

Leadership: A number of assignments have been undertaken. For example chairing a degree qualification committee at a university, creating a 'Level 5' in-house leadership programme, and assisting organisations to successfully embed recruitment, team building and leadership processes.

Marketing: Just two examples: Kel's company successfully marketed the Auckland's Sky Tower at the 'sell to the public' stage, and worked with BASF South East Asia to significantly increase sales in China over a 24 month period.
